Knowing and understanding are important parts of your fertility journey. Professor Bruce Dunphy can be found on Twitter (@BubtreeBruce). Come follow Bruce on Twitter as he guides you through some of the most recent scientific findings related to fertility care. Combining his dual expertise in education and fertility care Bruce regularly surveys the world's leading medical journals on fertility care for information and evidence that may help people on their journey to have children and help healthcare professionals who work in the fertility care area. Bruce then posts key updates on Twitter, including information on lifestyle and fertility and analyses of approaches to treatment. These short "Tweets" of up to 140 characters include a hyperlink to a summary of the scientific evidence.

Bruce is qualified as both a specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and as a subspecialist in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. As such he is one of only three specialists in Queensland to hold the dual qualifications of FRANZCOG and CREI. As a Conjoint Professor of Education, Bruce also has a Masters and a PhD in Education and he is a member of the Editorial Board of the Australian Journal of Educational and Developmental Psychology.

Bruce's national and international voluntary work combines his expertise in both Education and his subspecialist qualifications and experience in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. At an international level, Bruce is currently working in conjunction with the World Health Organization to develop a needs assessment tool for the delivery of infertility training and services and he is a member of the International Federation of Fertility Societies (IFFS) Education Committee, which is the overarching international organization encompassing the national fertility societies of close to 70 nations. Bruce is developing an e-learning platform with the IFFS directed primarily towards supporting the training and ongoing education of fertility specialists in the developing world.

At a national level Bruce is actively involved with the Royal Australian College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) as Chair of the Research Project Assessment Subcommittee, as a member of the Education and Assessment Committee and as a Member of the Board of Examiners. Bruce recently contributed to the development of a series of seven RANZCOG on-line learning modules for how to plan and conduct a research project. He is also an examiner for the Australian Medical Council.
